The MS Support harness, type of cow lifting hoist for getting fallen or weak cows back on their legs and keeping them artificially upright over a longer period of time; the cow lifting hoist supports the cow until it can stand on its own legs again and has its mobility back.

The cow must be hoisted by means of a front loader or forklift truck.

• When lifting, the udder is lifted into the harness, so that the weight of the cow is evenly distributed over the entire length of the cow.

• The cow is lifted with a straight back and it is not possible for the udder to dangle.
• Due to the special shape of the harness, the pressure of the harness on the udder is small, even if the cow has just calved off. The udder provides support during lifting, so that the straps do not cut into the flanks.

• Milking or suckling the cow is no problem, because the back flap, which covers the udder, can be unbuckled and lowered. With the back flap folded down, the cow can be kept upright long enough to be milked or for a calf to be suckled.
• The advantage of the support harness compared to a normal cow hoisting lift with hip clamp is that the harness can be used for longer periods without damaging the hip. The harness is used by dairy farmers, veterinarians and the fire brigade in case of calamities.
