The Talpex mole trap is a scissor trap that is placed in the mole tunnel to control mole problems.

The Talpex mole trap is also suitable for catching water voles.

• From the top, make an opening in a frequently used mole tunnel with a shovel.
• Wear gloves when doing so to prevent the mole from being frightened off by human scent
• Pull the loose ground from the tunnel and try to disturb the tunnel as little as possible
• Tighten the trap and let it close one time to be sure that it moves freely. Watch your fingers!
• Tighten the trap again and place it in the mole tunnel. Make sure that the tension pin is on the top side
• Sprinkle a bit of loose sand between the trap and cover the side with some leaves or grass
• Check to see if there is a mole in the trap every day
• Remove the caught mole from the trap and place the trap back into the mole tunnel
• Typically, multiple moles make use of one tunnel
• If the trap has not closed after 3 days, the mole tunnel is no longer being used
• Move the mole trap to another tunnel that is being used often
