• You should pay attention to the following points concerning the storage cabinet.
• The cooling unit is placed on the cutout at the top of the cabinet. The cooling unit does not overlap the raised edge but is placed on top of it.
• The cabinet must have good insulation at least 4 cm thick. The thicker the insulation, the better the effect.=
• The door and loading hatch must close tightly. If the cabinet is not hermetically sealed when closed, air will get into it continuously from the outside. And on a warm and humid summer's day, the decaying process will be faster. It also causes higher energy consumption.
• Locate the carcass-cooling unit where it is easily accessible for loading and unloading. By preference, put it on a flat concrete base.
• Avoid thermal bridges (hot or cold) caused by things like a metal profile protruding from inside to outside. Most metals are good heat conductors. If there is a cold bridge, condensation will form on the outside of the cabinet, which can lead to increased energy consumption.
• The colour of the cabinet plays an important role where energy consumption for cooling is concerned. The green colour offers good sunlight reflection. Nevertheless, we recommend locating the cabinet in a sheltered, shady spot.
