Floor alley coating in dairy farm
Feed alley coating - Cattle

A clean plate for cows

Concrete is a porous material that allows water, bacteria, and microorganisms to penetrate. In livestock farming, this leads to contamination of feed tables, promoting feed refusals, butyric acid contamination, and feed heating, which negatively impacts feed intake and milk production.

Applying an epoxy resin coating for concrete creates a smooth, waterproof, and easy-to-clean surface, reducing bacterial growth and improving hygiene. It is the most effective solution to preserve feed quality and maintain animal performance.

Benefits of coating in dairy farms

The resin prevents humidity, bacteria, and mold from penetrating the surface. This ensures the forage stays fresher for longer.

Lower bacterial pressure

Because there are fewer bacteria in the feed, cows are better protected from pathogens and fall sick less often.

Less residual feed

Higher quality feed encourages cattle to eat more, leaving less behind in the alley and reducing waste.

Easy cleaning

The coating is much easier to clean than porous concrete. Feed residues slide off effortlessly, allowing for more thorough cleaning.

Wear resistant

This coating is designed to resist UV rays and the typical wear and tear of livestock farm floors.

What is the coating made of?

MS Floorequalcoat-trans coating is a unique two-component epoxy. The resin is synthetic and composed of a liquid component and another hardening component.

Floorequalcoat-trans is easier to treat than acrylic resins and is resistant to both mechanical wear and chemical agents.
