Floor coating pig farms
Floor and wall coating - Pigs

A safe and clean barn

Even if equipped with grates, the floors in pig pens get very dirty. Feces, pig fat and food can make the animals' living environment much worse.

A layer of coating prevents dirt from sticking to the floor, making cleaning much faster and more effective.

Benefits of coating on slats

Better hygiene means better results for your farm. Find out how this coating can help you get the best from your pigs.

Drainage

Porous surfaces or surfaces where dirt builds up prevent liquids from draining. The coating enables better drainage of pig urine and wash water used to clean the pens.

Fast and effective cleaning

With less encrusted dirt, cleaning the pig pens becomes faster and easier, saving you valuable time and energy.

Lower bacterial pressure

Because there are fewer germs in the pigs' living environment, the risk of disease and infection is significantly reduced.

Stability

Because there are fewer germs in the pigs' living environment, the risk of disease and infection is significantly reduced.

Wear & tear resistant

These coatings are specifically engineered to resist chemical agents and the typical wear and tear of livestock housing.

What is the coating made of?

MS Floorcoat-7001 is a unique two-component epoxy. This means that the coating is synthetic and composed of a liquid component and a curing component. The liquid component consists of resin, fillers, a colour and is odourless (epoxy). The curing component is the hardener (amine).

MS Floorcoat-7001 is easier to treat than acrylic coating and is resistant to both mechanical wear and chemicals.

Other options in coating are: MS Mortar Forte (repair and renovation), MS Wallcoat epoxy (for walls), MS Gel Repair (repairing and filling cracks), MS Floorequalcoat-trans epoxy (final coat for grouted-in floor), MS Primecoat-Trans primer (as primer or topcoat).

Application procedure

To apply the resin you can request our assistance or do it yourself.

Remember though: before applying the coating it is necessary to thoroughly clean, degrease, polish and dry all surfaces and use MS Primecoat-trans for better adhesion of the coating.

To make the floor anti-slip you can use our granular. The granules should be applied by spreading them between the coating layers.
